Yes – finally, winter is over… well, as over as it can be in Colorado! So we are making plans for a full season of creating fine art portraits of your pet! The scenic beauty that is Colorado makes for beautiful, timeless images that are emotionally enriching, and to take full advantage of our natural beauty most of our “excess” mileage charges will be waived for outdoor sessions on weekends until June 1st! We can pack up and head anywhere within 70 miles of the greater Denver area to capture stunning fine art images! And that’s not all – see our Special Promotions page under Services for special pricing on creative fees and print packages for springtime in Colorado!

The Occasional Cat
Posted on October 30, 2011
Meet Calpurnia – Callie for short. I have a “client” that names all of her cats after the characters in the book/movie “To Kill A Mockingbird”. This is a very special “client” – and this is a very special cat. Cats are a different photographic challenge – they don’t typically do a very reliable sit, or stay, or much else. Someone said that dogs have masters, and cats have staff. How very true! Anyway, photographing Callie was a challenge – it was a game of cat and mouse (GROAN… did I really say that???) – but the quick snap finally won out. Here she is, Madame Diva – Calpurnia.

Milo and Maple…
Posted on October 22, 2011
A few weeks ago I had the honor of doing a family portrait session for some dear friends – the first they had had done in many years. While I don’t usually do this kind of session, one of the family brought along his two dogs – the height of the session! What little bundles of personality – Milo and Maple were a little full of themselves, but once settled in we managed to capture their inner sweetness. Thank you, Jerry, for the privilege of putting these images on canvas for you!

The switch is on – and done!
Posted on November 30, 2010
If you’ve read the “About Greg” page, you know that I’ve been a Canon shooter for more years than I care to remember. I’ve always loved what I got out of those bodies and lenses – and still do. However, over the past year or so I became increasingly aware that what I was seeing in my mind was not what was appearing in the image. So…. for a variety of reasons I did something about 6 weeks ago that surprised most of my peers, and admittedly left me feeling a bit like I had left my baby on the steps of the orphanage – I made the decision to leave my Canon days behind and switch to Nikon! I can already hear the breath leaving the bodies of those friends and photography peers that have known me for some time – the ultimate brand loyalist has left for “the Dark Side”…. Well, I will never be one of those who disses the “other brand” so I will keep my reasons to myself. But I will tell you that what I have in my camera bag now is so much better suited to my style, and the images finally are a dead reckoning for what I thought I saw when I pressed the shutter.
I recently traveled to visit my mother, who at the age of 91 has begun to give way to dementia and was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. I have some images from that visit that I may share in a while, but for now I need to keep them close to my heart. But needless to say, the job done by the Nikon D700 and the Nikkor 24-70 f/2.8G brought a lump to my throat.
I wish you all a wonderful holiday season with friends and, most importantly, family. Peace….

The Unleashed Video…
Posted on August 28, 2010
In just about every part of life, I believe that if you ever stop learning you’re pretty much done. In April 2010, I spent three glorious days with Bev Hollis, Teresa Berg, and Barb Breitsameter at their very special Unleashed | Fine Art Pet Photography Workshops held at Teresa’s studio in Dallas. There were 20 very talented photographers learning more about their craft and sharing with each other. It was a truly memorable experience. I will always treasure the learning – and the wonderful friendships that began there. Thank you Bev, Teresa, and Barb – you are a class act!
From those three days, I created this video to share my images from that experience. I hope you enjoy watching! For the best experience, turn your speakers on, and click on the Full Screen icon on the lower right….

Greg Lynch Photography – A New Blog in Town!
Posted on February 19, 2010
After giving up entirely on my old blog after never being able to get it working the way I wanted I turned to the team over at Portfoliositez.com – and what a difference! Now I have time to do what I want to do – make great images – instead of spending hours getting a site running. They take care of making it work and look right, I take care of the content, and everyone’s happy!
Now that I’m functional (well…. semi) watch for some image uploads either here on this page, or to the Porfolio section. I have a ton of stuff to get moved from the old sites (yes, I had more than one)!
